The management syllabus nobody gave you

Equipping today's leaders with real situations, real confidence, and the right words.

Practical, no-fluff leadership training built from real workplace moments — the feedback you're dreading, the delegation that isn't working, the conversation you keep avoiding. Watch, download the blueprint, and know exactly what to do next.

20-season curriculum First-time & frontline managers 3 free blueprints + a free audiobook
Sound familiar?

You got promoted for being great at the job.
Nobody taught you to lead the people doing it.

"I have to give feedback and I'm dreading it."

You rehearse it in the shower, then soften it so much the message never lands. There's a script for this.

"I'm drowning but I can't seem to delegate."

It feels faster to do it yourself — until it isn't. Learn what to hand off first and how to let go.

"There's a conversation I keep avoiding."

The underperformer. The attitude. The raise you can't give. Avoiding it is costing you more than having it.

Every episode takes one of these and shows you exactly what to do.
Our method

See It. Say It. Lead.

Leadership is a language — and a language can be learned. But your team doesn’t just hear it; they live it. They experience your leadership in everything you say and do: the feedback you give, the work you hand off, the standard you hold, the way you show up when it’s hard and when it’s routine — and whether your actions consistently back up your words. Not your good intentions, your title, or how much you care. So instead of changing how you think and hoping your behavior follows, we start at the other end — the right words and the right moves for the real situations you’ll face, across everything a manager handles — and the confidence, and the leader, grow from there, one consistent action at a time.

1

See it

Read the real situation in front of you — a hard conversation, a handoff that isn’t landing, a pattern forming on the team — and get clear on the outcome you actually need before you react.

2

Say it

Choose the right words for it. Not a vague intention — the specific, tested thing to say, with a spine and a heart, so the moment lands the way you meant it.

3

Lead

Then back your words with action, and keep backing them. Follow through in the hard moments and the routine ones alike — that consistency, far more than any single conversation, is what turns a manager into a leader.

It’s the whole reason The Working Leader exists: to close the gap between getting promoted and knowing how to lead — one real situation, and the right words, at a time.

Ask Matt

Got a situation? Ask me.

Tell me what you’re actually facing at work — the conversation you’re dreading, the person you can’t reach, the call you’re not sure about. I read every one.

By sending this, you understand your question may be chosen and published in a video. Your name and email are never shown — they’re only so I can let you know when it’s answered.
